Temple University’s Home for Student Organizations

Tucked away on the third floor on the South Side of the Howard Gittis Student Center on Temple University’s main campus, The Village offers a variety of resources to all of Temple University’s registered student organizations.  Nearly thirty locked office spaces and ten open cubicles allow student organizations to conduct their affairs in a professional environment. Most Village residents hold daily office hours and many offer an “open-door policy”, contributing to the prevalent sense of community and collaboration throughout The Village. 

Even if your student organization is without an office or cubicle, we offer the rental of storage bins to all registered student organizations. Additionally, the Village has a large, common area which can be utilized by all students.

TUESDAY: Jayne, 12p.m. - 2p.m.

FRIDAY: Chris 1p.m. - 3p.m. 

These hours are a great chance to ask questions and get forms signed. We hope you visit us in the Village!

How Does My Organization get an Office or Cubicle in The Village?

All registered student organizations who have THREE OR FOUR STAR STATUS are invited to apply for space in The Village at the end of the spring semester each year.  The application for Village Space is available on the Student Activities website approximately one month before the end of the spring semester.  The Village Space Allocation Committee ultimately decides which groups deserve Village space for the upcoming school year.  The committee considers many factors when assigning Village spaces, including prior conduct as a Village tenant, intended use for the space, availability of other space on campus, and the organization’s overall impact on the Temple community.  Please note that organizations must have been registered for at least one full year prior to applying for space in The Village.

What about a Storage Bin or Mailbox?

These are assigned only if requested. If your org wishes to use a storage bin or mailbox, please contact studorgs@temple.edu.

What is required of organizations that have space in The Village?

A lease agreement must be signed which highlights your responsibilities as a Village tenant. The terms include the attendance of at least one member of your organization at ALL monthly Village meetings. Failure to attend these meetings will result in termination of the lease.
